A stunningly marked kitten was discovered roaming outdoors. Fast forward two months later, and her dream came true as she was joined by three other feline companions.
Shelly, with more than a decade of experience in animal rescue, was recently reached out to regarding three kittens in urgent need of assistance. A kind-hearted individual had come across them wandering alone outdoors without their mother in sight. After a thorough search, the mother cat was eventually found, but she displayed no desire to care for her offspring.
The kittens were in a dire situation, with their eyes crusted shut from infections and being significantly underweight. Without hesitation, Shelly immediately sprang into action, scooping up the tiniest kitten and delivering essential care. She then hurried back to give the same level of attention to the other two little ones.
Shelly from 5 Star Strays discovered the kittens outside, alone and without their mother in sight. Even though she already had her hands full taking care of 16 other rescues, she couldn’t bear to leave the little ones to fend for themselves. “I made the decision to bring them home with me. They were only three weeks old, so I knew they would soon be ready to start weaning,” Shelly explained to Love Meow.
Polly quickly adapted to being fed from a bottle, as mentioned by Shelly on her profile @5_star_strays. She continued with bottle feeding for a few weeks, gradually introducing mixed wet food to the kittens named Polly, Cloud, and Destiny. Despite Shelly’s dedicated attempts to save all the kittens, Destiny, the smallest one, unfortunately did not survive. Thankfully, both Polly and Cloud took to the bottle right away, eagerly filling their bellies at each feeding.
She transformed into a shoulder cat, a beauty named Shelly @5_star_strays. With better appetites and the right care, Polly and Cloud began to recover. Their eyes brightened, their bodies grew stronger, and their energy levels rose. The kittens’ mother was spayed along with some other cats in the vicinity to prevent further breeding.
Shelly from 5 Star Strays described Polly as a cat with gorgeous markings and a vibrant personality. Polly, the calico, was blessed with stunning patterns on her fur, which only became more dazzling as she grew older. Whenever she roamed around, Polly walked proudly with her tail held high, while her brother Cloud followed closely behind, his eyes full of curiosity as he observed their surroundings. Together, they navigated the world of eating from a dish and using the litter box, learning and growing side by side.
Cloud and Polly are showing amazing growth and development, according to Shelly from @5_star_strays. The siblings have been socializing with other foster cats in the house, and after some initial sniffing and introductions, they quickly joined in the fun and games, fitting right in with the rest of the clowder.
Polly and MiloShelly from 5_star_strays have fully recovered and transformed into lively young felines. They have made friends with several foster kitties and received guidance from some of them. When the time came to search for a caring home for them, Shelly was pleasantly surprised by Donna, a former adopter, who expressed interest in all four kittens.
Shelly @5_star_strays shared that Donna instantly fell in love with Polly and Cloud, along with their two foster buddies. Donna couldn’t stand the thought of splitting them up. Just last week, the adorable group found their forever home and were officially adopted.
Shelly from 5 Star Strays shared, “It’s rare to find someone willing to open their home to four new furry friends. It’s a chance you can’t pass up.” Within just a few days, the group of four has adapted beautifully to their new surroundings, now joining six other cats in the household, happily exploring and playing together.
Polly and Cloud have found their forever home alongside two of their foster buddies, Shelly from 5 Star Strays. They have quickly formed a strong bond with their human mom and have become fast friends with their new cat siblings.
