Meet Peany Todd, affectionately called Princess P.
She’s a charming kitty whose extraordinary journey from precarious beginnings to a joy-filled life has captured many hearts.
Her story is not just about survival; it’s about the profound bond that can exist between animals and humans, exemplified by the unwavering devotion of her human, Alex.

Princess P’s story began with her mother, Plop, a stray who found sanctuary in the welcoming home of Alex.
This chance encounter turned into a permanent arrangement when Alex noticed Plop’s expanding belly, a clear sign of impending new life.
When the time came, Plop gave birth to four kittens, among them a tiny, frail kitten who would soon be known as Peany Todd.
Unlike her siblings, Peany was considerably smaller and faced challenges right from the start.
“I noticed the a day after they were born that P was not able to feed from Plop like the other kittens,” recalled Alex.
“She was just not getting the suction with her mouth.”
This sight compelled Alex to step in with bottle feedings to ensure she received the necessary nourishment.
This early intervention was crucial, but Peany’s battle was far from over.
As she grew, Alex realized this tiny kitten was missing one eye and part of her lip, which left her with a significant facial gap.
Despite the vets suggesting euthanasia, Alex refused to give up on little P.
She cared for the tiny creature tirelessly, and soon, this fragile kitten began gaining weight and blossomed into a playful bundle of joy!
She developed a particular fondness for noisy toys, which helped compensate for her limited vision.
Life with a physical anomaly was not without its trials, however.
The gap in her lip led to recurrent sinus infections, demanding vigilance and care from Alex, who was always at the ready to manage her health issues.
“We knew that her sinus problems will likely be life-long and we will just have to be on top of managing it for her,” explained Alex.
But her efforts were not solitary.
Alex also decided to provide a forever home to Plop and found loving families for all of Peany’s siblings.
Today, Princess P enjoys a blissful existence, surrounded by her feline mother and a new sister, Phoebe, another rescue who has joined the household.
The trio shares an unbreakable bond, with Peany often indulging in spirited play and tender moments of companionship.
Alex considers Princess P perfect, flaws and all, embodying the essence of unconditional love.
“Today she follows me around everywhere and sleeps right by me every night, which none of the other cats we have do,” says Alex.
“She is so special to me and she shows more love than any animal I have ever seen. I love her so much it’s insane! I could go on forever! She is perfection!” She added.
The loving kitty also adores her hooman dad, who, like Alex, loves Peany unconditionally!
Her presence in their life is a daily reminder of resilience and the incredible impact of compassion.
Thanks to Alex’s refusal to give up on her, Peany Todd did not just survive; she flourished.
Peany’s life, marked by its rocky commencement, could have ended on the streets had she not been born under Alex’s roof.
With each hurdle, she has demonstrated remarkable tenacity, supported by the love and safety that only a true home can provide.
Now living as a beloved princess, Peany Todd navigates every challenge with grace, buoyed by the endless affection she receives.
Her story is not merely one of survival—it’s a celebration of life’s unexpected blessings and the enduring power of love.
